The Sustainable Catch

In the wake of lockdown local Cornish fisherman were left with no global market to buy their fish. This is a short Pro Bono film we made for The Cornwall Seafood Guide about what came next.

The final film was used by the Cornwall Seafood Guide as a tool to onboard other local fisherman in to their sustainability programs and was used to showcase the options fisherman have when faced with adversity in their supply chain.

What experience do you have?

Here Now Films was founded in Cornwall over 5 years ago, today we make films for some of the UK’s biggest brands and charities.

Still based in our studio in Newquay today, we’re proud to call Cornwall our creative home.

We’ve delivered documentary films for the likes of BBC World, national campaigns for the likes of AirBnB & Dominos and are trusted as the Tate, St Ives’, ongoing video team.

How much does video production cost?

The cost of any project is dependant on the complexity and requirements of the film!

As a rough ballpark figure, our video productions in Cornwall range between £3,000 – £15,000 on average.

That being said, we’ve worked with charities and special projects for much much less! We’ve also delivered multi week, multi location and long format productions at much higher than that.

What equipment do you have?

As one of Cornwall’s leading video production companies we pride ourselves on having very good kit… that doesn’t cost the earth.

We own all our own kit so we don’t charge our clients lots of money for rental fees.

We shoot on high end Sony FX6’s and cinema grade lenses, we have enough lights to fill a studio and some of the best sound recording equipment you can buy.

Do you have insurance and permits for filming in Cornwall?

Working with the likes of Tate Cornwall and Cornwall Council, we are well versed at how to go about filming in Cornwall.
