Artist Profiles
An ongoing partnership to tell the stories of Tate’s artists in residence.
Tate’s artists in residence create work that span fast moving, live, political, social and environmental topics. Whether it’s telling the story of the role nature has in making sense of the world for non binary and LGBTQ+ individuals to activist art from Sami peoples, we’re proud to be Tate’s ongoing video production partner. Now three years deep into the partnership, it’s safe to say The Tate are happy with the work produced.
Here Now Films delivered all scripting, creative development, production, and post-production in-house.
Ro Robertson
Modern Conversations
Ro Robertson is an LGBTQ+ artist exploring relationship between fluid landscapes and the human condition. Their most recent art work was commissioned as part of The Tate’s Modern Thresholds exhibition. Here Now Films spent two days with Ro in the thick of their process. The film can be seen on The Tate’s YouTube channel here.
Outi Pieski
Doudji
Outi Pieski is a Sami artist based in Finland. Outi’s work represents and ongoing struggle between the conservation of Finlands Northern wildernesses and the cultural identity of those people that call it home. We spent time with Outi as she put together her first major exhibition in the UK representing over 20 years of work.
