Kyn London

Seven productions & counting…

Telling the stories of the people behind London’s most revolutionary care home.

Kyn isn’t your usual care home, Kyn is a place that you can’t wait to grow old in. With a personal nutritionist, gourmet chef, art work across the walls and your own private cinema, there’s not a lot to be wanting for. In a series of seven films; a hero film and six micro-documentaries, we explored the people and approaches that make Kyn London so special.

Here Now Films developed every story in close conversation with the Kyn Team. Scripts were written in-house, shotlists curated, and all production stages from crewing to post production, were delivered by Here Now Films.

Meet The Makers

The Head Chef

Kyn wanted to showcase that for them, food is more than a simple act of filling the belly. Meal time at Kyn is about fostering memories, stimulating the mind and feeding the whole body with quality nutrients.

A Home By Design

From the bed sheets to the wallpaper, the frames to the artwork, every detail at Kyn London is intentional. Kyn partnered with world renown interior designer Nina Campbell, and the equally famous print designer Adam Ellis to curate Kyn’s spaces to feel like a home. The idea was to create a collage of design that felt collected over a lifetime.

The Good Life

Kyn prides itself on being more than a place to grow old. It’s a place to pick up new hobbies, make friends and stay stimulated well into your old age. Whether it’s paining, dancing, chess, they have something for everyone.

The Dementia Team

At Kyn, treating dementia is an art form. From the simple act of remembering each person as an individual, to the nuances of colour textures and activities that stimulate without over stimulating. Each patients program is carefully manicured to suite their needs.

Interiors Film

More Than A Place To Stay, It’s A Home.

The final production we delivered was a room-by-room film that showcases the many areas of Kyn. More than a simple exhibition film, this needed to showcase the details, the quality and the open clean expanses. Shot across a day and alongside the micro documentaries.
