The Social Progress Index
AlTi Tiedemann Global approached us to create a film introducing the AlTi Global Social Progress Index (SPI)—a pioneering data platform assessing wellbeing, rights, health, education, and opportunity across 170 countries.
The film was set to premiere at the World Economic Forum in Davos, targeting an audience of world leaders, investors, policymakers, and impact pioneers. Our challenge was to distill the complexity of the Index into a clear, human, and emotionally resonant narrative grounded in authoritative data.
This is our second production with AlTi, our first production was their first ever global corporate brand film.
Our Approach
Script Development
We immersed ourselves in AlTi and SPI’s internal materials, including briefings, reports, and diagrams, to deeply understand the Index’s core components. Our team led the scripting process, transforming extensive documentation into a compelling narrative tailored for AlTi’s diverse audience of ultra-high-net-worth clients, advisors, and stakeholders.
Production (London & New York)
We sourced and secured bespoke corporate filming locations in both London and Midtown Manhattan, ensuring alignment with AlTi’s brand aesthetics. Collaborating closely with AlTi’s internal team, we scheduled interviews with senior leadership and SPI founder Michael Green. We coordinated full international crews across both cities, managing all logistics, including:
- Director of Photography
- Gaffer and lighting
- Hair & makeup
- Production coordination
The filming schedule was meticulously planned to accommodate tight contributor availability and proximity to the Davos event.
Post-Production
All post-production was completed in-house at Here Now Films:
- Multi-camera editing and narrative construction
- Color grading and sound design for a premium, global look
- Creation and integration of animated graphics and data visualizations
- Selection and animation of key SPI data points to reinforce script highlights
- Delivery of multiple social media cutdowns for LinkedIn, internal communications, and partner marketing
The Impact
The AlTi Global Social Progress Index challenges the notion that GDP is the sole measure of success. By highlighting areas such as access to healthcare, gender equity, education, and rights, AlTi and SPI aim to guide private capital toward meaningful societal outcomes. Our film reflects this mission, serving as both a powerful launch moment at Davos and an evergreen tool for the Index’s long-term impact strategy.
The Result
The SPI launch video received widespread acclaim and has been utilised across:
- Davos 2024 launch event
- Global AlTi investor briefings
- Internal town halls
- LinkedIn and partner campaigns
- SPI partnership communications
