Fuelling Adventurous Living A Brand Film
Two Films, Two Adventures
The Brief
JUBEL is a London based beer brand making beer for the younger generation. JUBEL came to us with two simple briefs:
1) Create a short brand film for the JUBEL homepage that tells the story of an adventurous beech day in the UK.
2) JUBEL wanted to tell the story of their newest collaboration with designer, surfer and generally lovely human, Clara Jonas.
We had a tight brief to create something that would connect with ages 21-35, felt aspirational and had a strong element of escapism to it. The two films above were the result.
The Production
The beech day production was one of those “is this actually our job” type moments. Highlighting 4 different locations across Cornwall we stitched together a simple ‘adventure to the beech’ film.
The productions took a day of pre-production, a day of film work, and 3 days of editing.
For Clara’s film we had a half day for an interview followed by another half day the following day. We wanted to match Clara’s process as an artist with her passion for surf.
We focused on match cuts and lines of flow along with shooting all the surf scenes at Blue Hour (that was 04:30 AM) so the colours of the art, beer and peach beer would blend.
The final film was planed, shot and edited within 4 days.
