Here Now Films has delivered documentaries for the likes of BBC World, AirBnB, The Tate, The Lost Gardens of Heligan. We specialise in short form micro documentaries and docu-series for companies and charities making the world a better place.
Over the last 4 years we’ve delivered documentaries for some of London’s best known brands. From the likes of BBC World to an audience of over 400 million people to creating a docu-series for a national AirBnB campaign, we like to think we now know a thing or two about story.
As a rule of thumb, a short form documentary (2-10 mins) will cost around £5,000-£16,000, a medium length documentary (10-30 mins) will cost around £12,000-£25,000, a longer documentary (>30min) will cost anywhere North of £20,000.
Documentaries don’t need to take a long time! Simple stories can be developed, filmed and edited within 3-4 weeks! Or even faster in special circumstances. However, most documentaries are large undertakings and can take months to produce, sometimes even a year or so for larger productions.
Here Now Films shoots on Netflix approved, full frame, cinema cameras. We also own a studio filled with lights and sound recording equipment. We own our own equipment in-house that means there are no costly extras further down the line. This is especially important for longer projects like documentaries.
Documentary filmmaking has taken us from mountain tops to city blocks! Everywhere we’ve gone we’ve always needed the highest levels of insurance possible to make sure both the crew and public are covered to the maximum they possibly can be.
